I have the same failure after updating from 1.10.1 to 1.10.7

I'm also having this same issue. Currently searching for a way to remove these categories without using the web interface for now.

I have this issue right now. I had version 1.10.5 and upgraded via yum using opennms-stable-rhel6.repo which points to http://yum.opennms.org/stable/common
So now I have version 1.10.6 and have tried chrome/firefox/opera and the trash can does not work.
Chrome error shows: Uncaught ReferenceError: deleteCategory is not defined
Is there maybe some other way of deleting categories, that is not through the web interface?

it doesn't have a link because it's done with Javascript. I did just fix the delete code having some bad href stuff, though, so maybe that was the issue?
Regardless, I have tried the trash can in current 1.10 branch with my changes and it works, so if this still fails with latest snapshots, feel free to reopen.

Checked again with Chrome, Popups allowed for the OpenNMS IP.
Call http://10.0.6.32:8980/opennms/admin/categories.htm
Home / Admin / Categories
Chrome Debug: categories.htm:336 Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected identifier
Klick on dustbin:
Chrome Debug: categories.htm:559 Uncaught ReferenceError: deleteCategory is not defined
Already tried to find something in the code... but i am merely a user 🙂 and java script errors can be so annoying.

If you go to Admin > Manage Surveillance Categories then select the "trash can" icon to delete a particular category it does nothing because the link is missing to execute the delete. This changed after upgraded from 1.8.17 to 1.10.0.
