Description

We have the new Radius support in acegi that Paul's written, but our existing Radius monitor/poller/etc. is all using an ancient version of the jradius code datestamped 2004. How hard would it be to update this stuff to the new maintained jradius code?

I've actually been working on this. Not quite ready to roll it in yet, but should be ready soon.

Of course, as you discovered this morning, it doesn't look like the new jradius can go into 1.6 ... will have to go into trunk for 1.8.

I am reopening this until we get those resolved..

I've been working on NMS-4921 and I can say that the normalization problem affects only 1.8 (for RadiusAuthPlugin and RadiusAuthDetector, because I updated RadiusAuthMonitor).

1.8 uses JRadius 1.0.0 (and RadiusAuthDetector/RadiusAuthMonitor use the old radius client).

All the code for 1.10 is using JRadis 1.1.4 (the latest version) and nothing is related with the old radius-client library (even from maven point of view).

So, 1.10 doesn't need normalization. This issue only applies for 1.8.

Since 1.10 is already normalized. I don't see any reason to go back and change 1.8 so I am going to resolve this issue
