Missing fonts when running newly commited reporting stuff in 1.8.7

And for the "last month" reports:

Is there a solution?

I had the same problem, specifically with the Early Morning Report. Its not exactly a solution but in the mean-time I went through to /opennms/report-templates and changed all references in the Early-Morning-Report.jrxml from "Helvetica Neue" to "SansSerif". There were about 20.

The reports run now until I can figure out how to add the currently unsupported fonts in the templates to the ones that came packaged with Jasper Reports.

At least that's what it looks like the problem is.

This seems to have changed in a somewhat current checkout, I don't have the "Helvetica Neue" anymore but "DejaVu Sans" and most stuff seems to work now.

For those wanting a quick fix, go the the $

/etc/report-template dir and run, sed -i -e 's/Helvetica Neue/SansSerif" *.jrxml

-A

And remembering all the slashes: sed -i -e 's/Helvetica Neue/SansSerif/g' *.jrxml

I don't think we can assume any named font exists on all platforms. We should just have the reports all use SansSerif.

It seems like NMS-4102 describes a similar issue, there is even a patch, which changes the fonts to SansSerif.

Yeah, that patch was already applied. Now there's other reports that still need changing. Donald's planning on committing that, AFAIK.

We've changed the fonts in all reports to SansSerif, in both testing and unstable branches.

Then resolve it.
