Description
We have a requirement that OpenNMS should only discover nodes that respond to ICMP, respond to SNMP and are in DNS.
The current discovery process uses a ping sweep to find nodes and sends new suspect events for any node that responds to ping and is not already in the system.
In order to meet this requirement, we will consider adding detector support to discoveryd and suppress new suspect event generation unless the hosts respond to the given detectors.
