      Description

To the extent the ReST web services are documented, as here:

      http://opennms.org/wiki/Dev-Jam:RESTful_Interfaces

The information on doing a PUT with "ack=true" or "ack=false" to acknowledge / unacknowledge an alarm (via the "alarms" service) or a notification (via the "notifications" service) seems to be incorrect as the webapp responds to such requests with a 500 internal server error.

The iPhone app, at least, uses the "acks" service, doing POSTs with "alarmId=12345" and "action=ack" / "action="unack" / "action=clear" / "action=esc" (for "escalate") instead of the PUTs described above. If there exists documentation on the "acks" service, I can't find it.

      Acknowledge alarm 12345:

      curl -v -X POST -H "Accept: text/xml" -d alarmId=12345 -d action=ack -u username:password http://demo.opennms.org/opennms/rest/acks

      Unacknowledge alarm 12345:

      curl -v -X POST -H "Accept: text/xml" -d alarmId=12345 -d action=unack -u username:password http://demo.opennms.org/opennms/rest/acks

      Escalate alarm 12345:

      curl -v -X POST -H "Accept: text/xml" -d alarmId=12345 -d action=esc -u username:password http://demo.opennms.org/opennms/rest/acks

      Clear alarm 12345:

      curl -v -X POST -H "Accept: text/xml" -d alarmId=12345 -d action=clear -u username:password http://demo.opennms.org/opennms/rest/acks
