Description
Doing a ONMS restart results in numerous (in our case, about 10% of our nodes, or 40 nodes) of our nodes reporting SNMP outages:
SNMP data collection on interface 192.168.x.x failed with 'Unexpected error during node SNMP collection for: 192.168.x.x'.
Most, but not all (in our case, about 85%) receive the following:
The SNMP outage on interface 192.168.x.x has been cleared. Service is restored
In addition to the email noise regarding these false positives, about 15% of the nodes remain in the "Nodes with Pending Problems" list.
