      Description

There are currently two types of message match types in Syslogd, substr and regex. substr assigns a UEI based on a substring match while regex assigns based on a regex match and also assigns event parms based on regex matching groups.

We should implement a grok match type that can assign parameters based on grok expressions. This will simplify the config because the grok expression can also contain the names of the parameters, eliminating the need for separate <parameter-assignment> tags in the config.
