View traffic for specific applications over time (flows) - back end work

Description

Allow users to graph the traffic for a specific application over time.

The list of known applications should be made available as both a template query and in a dropdown within the flow query editor within Helm.

 This issue is for the backend work only.

Two parts to start with:

  1. a new endpoint to enumerate the applications that are indexed (with a way to limit the number of results)

  2. a new or updated endpoint to return the timeseries data for a given application

 

Can likely update how we use filters to include the application instead of the "top n" filtering we currently use.
