When the provisioning UI was introduced, the horizontal layout was criticized enough that a brand new vertical layout was introduced.

Interestingly, when using this vertical layout, the meta-data information is not displayed. A given user has to switch to the horizontal layout to add meta-data.

Also, the meta-data UI shows that there is an ability to set meta-data at the service level, but when adding a new entry, only node level or interface level are allowed.
