send-event.pl supports setting plenty of event fields, including descr, but lacks support for setting logmsg. This is probably because logmsg is one of the secured fields in the default eventconf.xml and almost nobody ever removes it from this list, so it's pointless to set it. A support client needs this ability, though, hence this issue.
