OpenNMS opennms start fails on Ubuntu

Description

After installation of OpenmNSM on Ubuntu 18 it can start only with systemctl start opennms

Using /usr/share/opennms/bin/opennms -v start will not start ONMS, it will end up with the error: 
ERROR: opennms.pidfile=/run/opennms/opennms.pid, but parent directory (/run/opennms) doesn't exist.
